It’s only reasonable that consumers who want a wood look would appreciate real wood furniture even more if maintenance was minimal like it is on these fabricated products. For nearly three years, NRF searched the world to find a high-tech, water-based finished to use on Brazilian Cherry. Their new European partner’s state-of-the-art, inclement weathertesting center did specific testing to arrive at the correct, patented formula for the water-based, “Reve” (which means 'To Dream' in French) finish which is applied to an extrememly durable and exotic hardwood, Jatoba, commonly known as Brazilian Cherry.
The 3-Year Warranty and virtually No Maintenance make it hard not to buy when compared to the cost of other wood products that don’t offer a no maintenance finish or choice of colors. As well, this Outdoor Lifestyle Collection Brazilian Cherry wood is hand-selected each annual season which results ultimately in a better quality of timber – healthier wood, straighter grains and with less knots. Ideal for use in quality outdoor furniture. Then it is meticulously manufactured to exact mortise and tenon tolerances, both machine and hand-sanded and finally, hand-finished and packaged.

ABOUT THE FINISHES, CARE AND WARRANTY
Of the 15 finishes offered, the premium Reve finishes carry a three-year outdoor warranty. Brazilian Cherry with painted finishes can be expected to weather over time, but it is guaranteed not to blister, peel, bubble or discolor for one year. Brazilian Cherry is a very popular species of wood known for its inherent beauty, rich coloring and superior hardness. This dense wood is very resistant to moisture and humidity.
Our weathered and polyurethane painted finishes are incomparable to any on the market because of our many steps of hand-sanding, hand polishing and our superior finishing material; UV-blocked catalyzed polyurethane. When used outdoors, we strongly suggest that the products be kept in a covered area, where the finishes will weather gradually over time. Although we use the best finishing materials available on the market, as with all wood products, the more exposure to sun and the elements, the more quickly the wood and finish will weather.
An application of a high-quality boiled linseed oil (available at your local hardware store) every 1-3 months is important to help extend the life and uniformity of the deep red color. Over time, if untreated, natural Brazilian Cherry will turn a handsome silver gray, there are several methods to bring back the original deep red color, but if the silver gray is preferred no maintenance is required.
The most important step to protecting your new furniture is to keep it clean with a mild solution of dish soap, bleach and warm water. Apply the mixture with a soft bristle brush. Rinse well and let dry. For cleaning, we also recommend Feron’s Heavy Duty Cleaner and for restoring, Feron’s Wood Sealer. It is also acceptable to use water-sealer type products on the Brazilian Cherry furniture.
Warranty Information
Linseed Oiled / ClearCare Products – Guaranteed against defects in workmanship and materials to the original purchaser for a period of three years from the purchase date.
Painted / Weather Products – Guaranteed against defects in workmanship and materials to the original purchaser for a period of three years from the purchase date. The polyurethane paint is guaranteed not to blister or peel for one year from the purchase date.
Reve Products – Guaranteed against defects in workmanship and materials and Reve Finish, to the original purchaser for a period of three years from the purchase date.
*Note: Bleeding of the wood: During the initial two months, natural bleeding will occur on oiled and painted furniture and is not covered under our warranty. Please wet your furniture down thoroughly on a sandy or grassy area five to ten times until bleeding stops. Once it has stopped, it will never occur again.
