Warranty Information:
SMS has a one year manufacturer’s warranty on products and batteries from the date of purchase. If the product fails due to a defect in material or workmanship, SMS will replace or repair the defective parts free of charge. If any parts of the product are missing or arrive damaged due to poor shipping and handling of the initial order, SMS will provide the missing parts or replace the damaged parts free of charge. Please unpack and inspect all the pieces of the product and report any damaged or missing pieces as soon as possible within 48 hours of receipt of goods. Depending on what kind of climate you live in, the product should be stored in a dry and frost proof environment during the winter time when not in use.
The manufacturer’s warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents, animals, abuse, incorrect assembly, misuse, poor handling or storage, frost, normal wear and tear, pumps that fails due to over-use with an AC adaptor, or products which have been subject to unauthorized repair or modification.
SMS requires customers to provide the model and serial numbers located on both the solar panel and pump when processing warranty claims for either part in order to guarantee that they will receive replacement parts that are compatible with the version that they own. When reviewing warranty claims, SMS reserves the right to require customers to provide a date and proof of purchase to process orders, if necessary to determine that the warranty period is still valid.
Please do not discard any parts of your product before you receive the spare or replacement parts that you order. This is to ensure that the parts that you receive are correct and compatible. If you accidentally discard parts that are connected to the ones that you wanted to replace because you were not aware that they were separate pieces, SMS will not replace the accidentally discarded parts under warranty.
